I read an awesome book one time about the mindset, called "SWITCH." Something this book emphasized a lot is the concept of shaping your path. Quite honestly, in most situations, your will power is not enough.

For example, regarding nutrition ,the majority of the time you will not win the fight against your cravings. You need to prevent them from happening in the first place.

So without a doubt, GREEN TEA will help you do just that. It halts my hunger and helps cut that stubborn belly fat (if you're eating right on top of it). I highly recommend drinking 1-2 glasses every day. Hot Tea, brewed. Not the lipton junk you get at the gas station. If it's caffeinated, drink early in the day so it doesn't keep you up at night. Another great tea is Ooolong Tea if you want to try something different. Many health benefits to both.

If you get cravings every afternoon and can't stop eating your children's snacks, I'd try drinking a glass of hot green tea during or after lunch time. Watch the difference.  If you also have a hard time controlling yourself at night before bed, I would drink a glass of decaf green tea after dinner too. Again, watch the magic.

I'll be honest, I get nervous if I go a day without drinking a glass early morning because I notice the difference in my hunger right away. And that's a problem, because I loooooove to eat.
